ESET Secure Authentication provides a robust, additional authentication method for secure and seamless remote access to your corporate network and sensitive data. The mobile phone-based solution utilizes 2-factor, one-time password authentication (2FA OTP) for access via VPN and OWA. The key benefit of one-time passwords is their random generation, making them neither predictable nor reusable. Employees accessing the corporate network remotely via VPN or OWA receive a one-time password on their mobile phone. This password adds an extra layer of security to the login process, protecting your data and information from attackers, dictionary attacks, password guessing, and other forms of cybercrime. The underlying technology is 2-factor, one-time password authentication. ESET Secure Authentication's architecture is designed to leverage your existing corporate infrastructure exclusively. Beyond the ESET Secure Authentication app on employees' mobile devices, it includes a server application that integrates seamlessly into the familiar network administrator environment, utilizing MMC and ADUC. To deploy the app to a mobile phone, all you need is the employee's mobile number. ESET Secure Authentication sends the user an SMS with an activation link. Upon clicking the link, the appropriate installation file for their specific platform is automatically downloaded. For enhanced protection against unauthorized access, the app is also PIN-protected.
